Terms & Conditions – Surf House
For full refund (except a 10% administration fee), cancellation must be made within 48 hours of the reservation and at least 14 full days prior to 3pm of the day of check-in.
For a 50% refund, cancellation must be made within 14 days to 7 days prior to check-in day.
If the guest cancels less than 7 days in advance or decides to leave shortly after check-in, there is no refund and the remaining nights are non-refundable.
Late Check In fee of 30€, after 8pm.
Terms & Conditions – Surf School
We are a family business that operates under strict license regulations imposed by the Captaincies of Lisbon and Cascais Port Authority, Turismo de Portugal, I. P. and the Portuguese Surfing Federation. Our license stipulates how many students we can have at any one time.
We get booked out every session and if you don’t turn up for your pre-booked lesson we still have to pay our staff, license fees, insurance and expenses.
We are the same as other businesses eg. if you buy a ticket to the movies, football, tennis etc. and don’t make the event for any circumstance no business gives you a free ticket or free seat at the next available event.
- If you would like to reschedule a lesson you have booked, we need at least 24 HOURS NOTICE. Failure to give the necessary notice will mean you forfeit the cost of that lesson (including illness or injury).
- Failure to attend your chosen day will mean you forfeit the cost of that lesson – under any circumstance, including illness or injury.
- Surf Courses are not transferable to anyone else under any circumstance, except direct relatives (Husband / Wife, Parents / Sons, Siblings)
- Please choose carefully – Once you have purchased a lesson or surf course – No refunds given under any circumstance including illness or injury.
- Surf Courses, Surf Lessons, and Gift Vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase and can’t be extended past the expiry date. (Because of strict license conditions and small group classes).
- We reserve the right to modify any itinerary due to adverse weather conditions.
Portuguese beaches are perfect for all surfing levels, all year round, but being an activity practiced in the ocean sometimes we are subject to currents, shallow sandbanks and winds – we advise that you take time to consider these factors before you purchase your surfing lessons.
Any participant is covered by our insurance but we highly recommend you have your own Personal Insurance and / or Travel Insurance.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your lesson starts. Unfortunately, latecomers will forfeit their lesson. We can not leave the other clients / guests in the water without their Instructor – under any circumstance.
