I bought a pack of 10 group lessons for myself and 5 private lessons for my 5-year-old son. I live locally in Lisbon and it’s been super convenient doing lessons with them (I haven't stayed at the house, so this is only a review of the lessons). They offer morning and afternoon sessions and usually let me know the day before whether we'll be surfing in Carcavelos or Caparica, depending on the wave conditions. I’ve had a few different instructors and they’ve all been great. My son’s instructors have been especially patient and encouraging, helping him build confidence in the water and work on balance. Group lesson sizes vary a lot depending on the time of year and people come from all over the world. Practically everyone speaks English, including the instructors, so language hasn't been an issue for me as someone who doesn't speak much Portuguese. They also surf even if the weather isn’t perfect, so a little rain won't stop the lesson. The continental breakfast was very nice. We visited in summer so it was a 25 minute drive in their minivan each day to the beach where we surfed. EXCELLENTVerified I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first time surfing! They provided an easy pick up, wet suit and board. Lucas was our instructor and he made the entire day so enjoyable! We had a mix of newbies and slightly experienced surfers but he was able to balance it out so we all had the help/attention needed. How does transportation to and from the surf lessons work?
We offer convenient transportation options to and from the beach for our surf lessons. Whether you prefer to arrange your own transportation or take advantage of our shuttle service, we’ll ensure you arrive safely and on time.
Where is the meeting point for the shuttle?
Meeting point outside Hotel Fénix Lisboa (Praça Marquês de Pombal, 8). Look for the white vans with our logo.
I’m not sure if I’ll have enough free time to participate in surf lessons.
We offer flexible scheduling options for our surf lessons, including morning, afternoon, and evening sessions. Whether you’re visiting for a day or staying longer, we’ll work with you to find a time that fits your schedule.
